The Grammy Awards are the highest recognition of the music industry. The 2022 gala will be held on April 3, where big stars of the international music scene will meet to celebrate a new slate of winners.

The event, scheduled at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, will feature a Latin representation on stage. María Becerra and J Balvin will perform together to sing their famous “Qué más, pues,” a hit that became popular worldwide.

On her Instagram, the Argentine artist acknowledged that "I still don't believe it" after reading the post from the Recording Academy, which stated: "don't miss her performance on the biggest night of music." According to most predictions, Olivia Rodrigo and Billie Eilish, with their albums Sour and Happier Than Ever are the best suited to win.

Along with the hashtag #LaNenaDeArgentina, Becerra thanked her Colombian colleague for the possibilities that the joint song has generated, and swore, "I'm going to give it all." J Balvin also celebrated the good news on his social networks: “with a high vibe and grateful to be able to be at the Grammy on April 3 with Maria Becerra. Thank you, peace on Earth."

The list of artists that will participate in the ceremony include powerful names: Drake, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Doja Cat, Jay-Z, Billie Eilish, Abba, Tony Bennett, Lady Gaga, Lil Nas X, Taylor Swift, Afrojack, David Guetta, Tiësto, Cardi B, Kanye West, The Weeknd, Pablo Alborán, Camilo, Ricardo Arjona, Selena Gomez, Rauw Alejandro, Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Karol G, Mon Laferte, HER, Christian Nodal, Natalia Lafourcade, Rubén Blades, Tony Succar and Olivia Rodrigo.

J Balvin is nominated this year for Best Urban Album at the gala. That's some positive news for the Colombian singer, who at the beginning of this month was involved in a storm that affected his reputation. Residente, in collaboration with Bizarrap, released an incendiary eight-minute video with a rap directed at Balvin.

In the clip, the rapper criticized the aesthetics (teeth) of the Colombian, and even his controversies for racism and classism. Residente accused him of not being aware of the privileges he enjoys, of being a puppet of the music industry, of having outside help to write his lyrics and posting insensitive photos on Instagram. For many people, it was an unprecedented humiliation for the Colombian.

Residente referred to J Balvin as "the asshole of the urban genre," and according to his version, the Colombian tried to stop the publication of the rap that directly attacked his reputation. At the next Grammys gala, J Balvin will have the best platform to demonstrate his talent.
