“Women Don’t Cry”, the Most Famous and Succesful American Artist of Latino and Multicultural Descent in the United States of America, tweeted last week.

She was heading to NYC to launch her most recent Álbum, “Women Don’t Cry”—  smacking the charts of Pop Music in North, Central & South America.

Not to mentioned Europe, Asia, Oceanía & Iceland and even, perhaps, the Falklands, in front of Argentina.

(And  the way back to North America of This North-South-North-West-East “Ciclón”), the Galapago  Islands, in front of Ecuador.

She is —no matter what the experts of the Pop Music Media Channels & Publications may say—  a True Global Performing Artist, like no other before, on top of being a talented composer, a distinct singer and gifted guitar & piano player. I dared to Tweet back at Her, confident as I felt for a moment, since she was born in the same patch of land on planet Earth, in America Southof the border better known as South America or Latin America.

I dare to write and also post this silly tweet, in response to Her “Women Don’t Cry..”:

—“Men, on the contrary, Don’t Cry Either”, Shakira.Life isn’t easy for anybody anywhere in the world these days.

Tears roll easily down the cheeks of both males and females, White, African American, Asian American and Native American, out of sorrow or want.

Either in North, Central & South America, demanding as the reality currently, tends to be demanding for everybody trying everywhere to make ends meet.

Life in Europe, Asia, Oceanía & Iceland and perhaps the Falklands and the Galápagos Islands, maybe equally problematic.

Particularly for those who get out of bed early to go to work, or head back to it late in the evening because of the multiple jobs needed to support a household where a family lives.

Absorbed  in those thoughts I was when on my Smart phone the YouTube App shouted the latest Shakira’s invention:

Time Square fully packed concert — as it were 31st of December in the month of March—  by a performing artist some still call “Colombian” “Latina”,  “Lebanese”, “Spaniard”, “Colombiana”, etc, ETC.

Although her Dad, Mr. William Mebarak Chadid was born in NYC, U.S.A,  and her mother, Nidia Ripoll Torrado, born in Colombia but from inmigrants Born in Cataluña, Spain, and, addiyionaly, Italian ancestry.

Shakira was herself born at the bottom of “the Himalaya” of the South, South  of the Gulf of Mexico, by the City of Santa Martha, by  little known “Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta”.

Not far from Guachaca Beach, in the Magdalena Province, of today’s Northern Colombia.

She now  lives in Miami, according to the repetitious coverage by  “Farandula” reporters  from  US Spanish-Language TV—  in a luxurious mansion off the Miami Bay built on the “private  islands”, owned by the rich and famous in Southern Florida.

Who is, then, Shakira— for Real?

Up to this Easter Sunday the number of “likes” and “follows”  from her concert in NYC’s Time Square scattered in VIDEO Clips all over Social Media, was accurately counted by severe computer servers in the hundreds of millions— jumping to billions in just 24 hours.

Simply out, the most global performing artist ever.

P.S.

Do you seriously know this Easter Sunday morning who this multifaceted artists named Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll is?

“Dunnot  know”, a friend in Pennsylvania, USA, told me earlier this week.

Well — I replied.

All I know is  that this American, or “Americana of Latino descent,”  is currently a nominee of the National Award “Ambassador Manuel Torres”, presented each year by our Annual Signature  #ALDIALive Multimedia  Program known as “ALDÍArchetypes”.

Manuel Torres, born in Córdoba, Spain, was the First Diplomat From Latín America to enter the White House to present Credentials as Diplomat in Washington DC, in 1823,

He owned a “Encomienda (Hacienda)” near Santa Martha, in the Kingdom of “La Nueva Granada”, but in 1823 the new Independent Republic of “Gran Colombia”,

today split in 6 diferent Nations (Colombia, Ecuador, Perú, Bolivia, Venezuela and Panamá).

The ALDIArchetypes has Been Augmented and Improved  this year of the Lord 2024 to help us remember these forgotten pieces of egregious history.

Please stay tuned for more details coming up this Spring and Summer of Year 2024.

The occasion is not small:

We will celebrate in 2024 the 30th Anniversary of our organícally-grown news organization— established in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, since 1994, exactly 30 years ago.
