Special Education teacher, Stephanie M. Armato from Ethan Allen Elementary School was arrested and charged for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old male student. 

The eighth-grade teacher turned herself in to  authorities and is currently facing a number of charges including involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, child endangerment, corruption of a child and indecent exposure. 

Tasha Jamerson, spokeswoman for District Attorney Seth Williams, said in a statement that Amato "engaged in consensual sex" with the boy at her home and car on multiple occasions, according to Philly.com 

In a statement released by the school's principal, Armato was relocated to a School District administrative office when initial allegations were made and was not arrested at or near the school.
