Immigrants share six-word stories

In honor of Immigrant Heritage Month, the Immigrant Archive Project created a hashtag to encourage immigrants and descendants of immigrants to share their own stories on Twitter.

The idea for a six-word story is a story itself. According to legend, writer Ernest Hemingway once wrote, "For Sale: baby shoes, never worn," which would have certainly fit into a Tweet had Twitter existed at the time.

Also in honor of Immigrant Heritage Month, the non-profit Welcome.us published a video celebrating the diversity of immigrants and the history of immigration in the United States.
