After almost 21 years of waiting, it seems that Xtina's Spanish-speaking fans will finally receive the long-awaited album in Spanish that the singer has been promising since the release of her album "Mi reflejo" in 2000.  According to Aguilera's production, the artist is putting the finishing touches on her long-awaited project.

Back in December 2019, after a concert in which she sang a duet with Alejandro Fernández in the city of Guadalajara, Xtina tweeted: "I'm anxious to make more Latin music for my fans around the Spanish-speaking world. It's in my blood, it's who I am, and I'm more excited than ever to deliver more to them." However, the coronavirus crisis came to postpone the project once again.

The rumors going around say that this new album will collaborate with artists such as Rosalia and Maluma, but Christina has not confirmed it yet. What has been said is that Pablo Lopez would be writing songs for this new project in Spanish. The musician said in an interview for Esquire, "(...) By the way, and this is not coming out of here, I'm writing a song for Christina Aguilera because she asked for it. I don't know if you should put it in because these things don't come out later... But well, maybe if you put it in, maybe she'll be more animated".

Colombian producer Julio Reyes Copello is in charge of carrying out the project of the diva with Ecuadorian roots. "Dear Christina, it was an honor to have you at Miami Art House. You are a legend! Please continue to inspire human beings with your supernatural talent and simplicity. All of us who had the privilege of sharing your company in the last few days feel blessed and motivated. You brought out the best version of ourselves," wrote on Instagram Copello, who has also been the producer of singer Jennifer Lopez's second Spanish-language album in 2017.

The Reyes-Aguilera duo has been recognized solo for their work at the Latin Grammys, Xtina for her 2001 Spanish-language album, and Reyes for his work with Ricky Martin Kany Garcia, so the collaboration between the two generates high expectations among Spanish-speaking fans.
