'Poncho' Herrera recently expressed his gratitude to the RBD team on Twitter and all the years they worked together.

However, the actor took the opportunity to also clarify that he never asked for any amount of money to return to the band's tour, as a Mexican magazine recently reported.

"I usually do not pay attention to magazines that only propitiate unpleasant things, but it seems important to me to expose some points that come from me and not from an invention. Denying my past implies denying my present, money is not everything and it does not motivate all my decisions," wrote Herrera.

The actor ended his short speech expressing his gratitude to his fans for so much support and love in his current acting career.

"Rebelde meant and means pursuing your dreams and being congruent with what one wants in life, something I try day by day... sometimes I achieve it and sometimes I learn," he said.

As a result of the rumors, RBD also released an official statement in support of Herrera and denying the information that the actor had asked for $10 million to be part of the tour.

"No member of the office in charge of the project has been in contact with the magazine and has never been provided with any details regarding these projects. There is respect, affection and mutual support between the members of RBD and Alfonso Herrera, so this article only attempts to discredit and attack the image, reputation, honorability and integrity of the group," reads the band's statement.

Rebelde's followers expressed their solidarity with the actor, sending him messages of support and inviting him to continue fulfilling his dreams, even if it means his absence during the long-awaited world tour.

Details about the Soy Rebelde World Tour will be revealed on Jan. 19 at 7 p.m., on social media.
