Juanes' new song "Gris," which is a follow up to 2022's "Amores Prohibidos," is also from the "four-year period" where the Colombian artist only "dedicated himself to creating original material," according to a new release from Universal Music Latino.

"Gris" will be available on all platforms on Thursday, March 2 as a track by Juanes to "examine his life, love, family and his own emotional complexities."

He described the song in a press release as a "very personal and cathartic" song, as it talks about love and challenges as a couple.

The artist shared a preview of the song with his followers on YouTube. The video shows several scenes in black and white, including one where Juanes is sitting on a chair in the middle of an empty room.

"Me voy solo con mi amor," is the only phrase heard in the teaser of the new single.

Sebastian Krys, Juanes' producer, also said the new song represents "another new creative pinnacle" in the Colombian's artistic career.

Both "Gris" and "Amores Prohibidos" are part of an album featuring 12 unreleased songs Juanes composed in his 40s (he's now 50).

"I would say that this album is going to have a lot to do with personal relationships, that is, the relationship with my children, with my wife and with myself about what I felt at that moment," the artist told Marca M about "Gris," which he recorded in his home studio and Miami.
