PA non-driver's ID price to increase
This spring, the cost of a non-driver's identification card at the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will more than double this April. This increase is a result of a law signed last Nov. as part of PA's transportation funding bill.
In PA, a non-driver's ID currently costs $13.50. Starting April 1st, the price will increase to $27.50.
Drivers license prices are expected to increase, but not until 2015.
The $14 difference has caused PA to have the most expensive non-driver's ID in the area. Non-driver IDs in Delaware cost $20, $24 in New Jersey, and $10 in New York.
