Elon Musk and Mark Cuban are two very successful billionaire entrepreneurs. Musk has played a leading role in the campaign by showing unrestricted support for the Republican candidate, former President Donald Trump. Cuban has not been left behind: the tycoon who has been a judge on the Shark Tank TV show has also clearly stated his views that put him on the opposite side.

Musk's support has reached such a level that Trump assured that he would consider his name to lead a state adjustment commission that would deliver suggestions for cutting public spending.

Musk has defended Trump in different scenarios and has shown his concerns for both the safety of the former president and the future of American democracy, so much so that he stated on his X account that "very few Americans realize that, if Trump is NOT elected, this will be the last election. Far from being a threat to democracy, he is the only way to save it!" he commented.

In a long text in his account, he explained all his concerns about the immigration process and its effects on the U.S. electoral roll.

“Let me explain: if even 1 in 20 illegals become citizens per year, something that the Democrats are expediting as fast as humanly possible, that would be about 2 million new legal voters in 4 years. The voting margin in the swing states is often less than 20 thousand votes. That means if the ‘Democratic’ Party succeeds, there will be no more swing states!! ”, he wrote. The thing is that Mark Cuban the other tycoon answered him on the same network alerting about his concerns about a new Donald Trump's mandate. “Elon, there will come a time when you need something from Donald Trump. You will think you will have earned the right to ask and receive. You have been a loyal, faithful soldier for him. You have supported him politically with 10s of millions of dollars. Then, at the point you need him the most, you will find out what so many before you have learned, his loyalty is only to himself.”

The debate between tycoons highlights the enormous polarization that currently exists in the United States. This reality is still reflected in the polls where the differences are still marginal and the population is not definitively decided in favor of any of the candidates. Not even because of the extraordinary events of the campaign: two assassination attempts, the resignation of current President Joe Biden and the proclamation of Kamala Harris as the Democratic candidate. Musk and Cuban are the new faces of the political debate in the United States. In less than a month, we will see who citizens will support when we know the results at the polls.
