The Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau (PHLCVB) has announced the appointment of Jennifer Nagle as vice president of special projects.

In the newly-created role — which she will begin Sept. 11, 2023 — Nagle will collaborate with PHLCVB to ensure the alignment, engagement and facilitation of key projects on behalf of the PHLCVB and its closest partners, including the Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority and Visit Philadelphia.

Nagle brings more than 20 years of executive experience in marketing, tourism and hospitality to the new role.

“Jen knows the PHLCVB well, and her deep-rooted connection to the city makes her the ideal choice to spearhead our strategic initiatives as we prepare for 2026 in earnest,” said PHLCVB president and CEO Gregg Caren, in a statement.

“Jen’s leadership will undoubtedly contribute to our mission of promoting Philadelphia as a premier destination for meetings, conventions, sporting events and international tourism during America’s Semiquincentennial year,” he added.

As vice president of special projects, Nagle will serve as an internal and external liaison throughout the planning and execution of projects and events related to the PHLCVB’s lines of business. She will serve as the PHLCVB’s primary representative while collaborating with partner organizations and planning strategic initiatives and programs leading through the end of 2026.

“I am honored to take on this new role at the PHLCVB and be a part of the team that continues to secure global events while elevating the visitor experience,” said Nagle in a statement. “I look forward to collaborating with our partners and stakeholders to create memorable and successful programs that will showcase the city’s vibrant culture and hospitality.”

Prior to her new upcoming role, Nagle has spent more than a decade with Philadelphia Visitor Center Corporation (PVCC), more recently as its executive vice president for more than 4 years. She’s also served as interim president & CEO, and vice president of business development.

Over her tenure, Nagle has played an instrumental role in a variety of initiatives that positivity impact the visitor experience, including acquiring and growing the Philly PHLASH® Downtown Loop program and opening the LOVE Park Visitor Center.

A native of South Philadelphia, Nagle holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a dual major in marketing and finance from the University of Massachusetts at Powell, and an MBA at Saint Joseph’s University.
