Luis Marconi is the newest member of the board for American Outdoor Brands
The Colombian-born executive, a member of the Latino Corporate Directors Association (LCDA), joined the company's board of directors.
Luis G. Marconi, a 55-year-old Colombian CEO, is the new independent member of the Board of Directors for American Outdoor Brands, Inc., an industry-leading provider of products and accessories for outdoor enthusiasts.
Marconi's Career
Marconi is a graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. He later received his MBA from ICESI University and graduated of the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management Executive Program in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
He began his corporate career at The Quaker Oats Company, where for almost 10 years he served as Group Product Manager for the company's Andean Region.

Subsequently, he was part of the team at Hormel Foods, a $12 billion global branded foods company headquartered in Austin, Minnesota, for 22 years, initially as Sales and Marketing Manager for Latin America, and later as Group Vice President of the $3+ billion Grocery Products division, the second largest of the company.

Among his most important achievements, Marconi highlights:
- Board Director at American Outdoor Brands since June 2022
- Transformed the portfolio of the 2nd largest division of Hormel while increasing sales to over $3 billion
- Led the formation of MegaMex Foods, a $800 millions Joint Venture of Hormel Foods + Herdez Del Fuerte
- Led, integrated, and scaled-up several M&A transactions into Hormel totaling $4.7 billion.
- Recognized as an empowering leader and promoter of high-performing teams
According to his profile, Marconi is an “accomplished P&L leader, Fortune 500 corporate officer and board member with over 34 years of leadership experience in the Food & Beverage industry in the United States and Latin America. Depth in Strategy, M&A, Joint Ventures and Board Governance.”
