Concilio appoints new marketing manager
Grace Castro is now in charge of overseeing the agency’s marketing strategy.
Earlier this month, El Concilio announced the promotion of Grace Castro as their new Marketing Manager.
In the role, she will be in charge of overseeing the agency’s marketing strategy.
More specifically, Castro will oversee Concilio’s Digital Media Lab, fundraising & development, as well as its community engagement efforts.
“This role is a much-needed extension to increase visibility and branding for Concilio,” the agency wrote in a statement.
With this new role, Castro is now also the new point of contact for all of Concilio’s social media, branding, news & media outlets, and sponsorships.

Castro first joined Concilio in May 2022 as a Digital Development Specialist. She was later promoted to Digital Media Services Coordinator last October before earning her later promotion this month.
Prior to joining Concilio, Castro worked as a Spanish Teacher at Independence Mission Schools. In the five years prior, she worked as a senior graphic designer at Urban Decay Cosmetics in Peru, and Perfumerías Unidas in Brazil, respectively.
Castro has a degree in graphic design, as well as an extensive background in advertising writing, creating marketing campaigns, and website design.
She also teaches those skills to local students, in addition to her artistic skills and abilities in illustration, lettering, and calligraphy.
In the nearly one-year since she joined Concilio, Castro has showcased her knowledge and abilities, efforts that will only continue in her new role as marketing manager.
Founded in 1962, El Concilio is a recognized leader in providing family social services ranging from education, health, adoption and foster care, and cultural opportunities. It also serves as a cultural convener for some of Philadelphia’s largest Latino events, such as the Hispanic Fiesta and the Puerto Rican Day Parade.
