'Encanto' will have its own attraction at Disney parks
'Encanto' is getting immortalized in Disney lore.
Lin-Manuel Miranda, director of Encanto, revealed that the Colombia-inspired film will have its own attraction in one of Disney's famous parks.
The Puerto Rican musician and playwright told Insider that the Disney division that develops the parks is already working on the project to create a theme park attraction, of which he does not know the details yet.
"The Imagineers are on it," he said during the interview. "I don't know what they do or where they live, but I know they're on it."

Miranda previously commented that he imagined Disney park-goers walking through the famous Madrigal house, where the film takes place.
"I would love to be able to walk in and out of this little house and see those characters and see the house respond because that's something Disney can do that no one else can do," said the director.
His idea has been supported by many fans of the animated film who continue to enjoy Encanto since its release, including famous artists like Josh Gad, the renowned American actor who brought Olaf to life in the animated film Frozen. Through his official Twitter account, Gad said he would like to be able to take a complete tour of Encanto through the attraction.
As we watch for the thousandth time, my kids and I decided we want a Columbia attraction at #Epcot with a full #Encanto ride through attraction. @Lin_Manuel @thejaredbush @ByronPHoward and @DisneyParks please make this happen. Sincerely, the Gads. pic.twitter.com/qHE0m8RUIY

The director said he is confident that the attraction will be ready before a possible sequel to the film or a television series recreating the world of Colombian magical realism that Encanto captures.
