"Writing about real people and situations is always a challenge. As a writer, I want to tell a good story while remaining true to the moment. A lot has been said about Selena. I wanted to tell her story of her while bringing something new to it. I hope readers, and her fans of her, enjoy what we have created," said Frizell, an educator at Missouri State University in Springfield.
Twenty-six years after her death, Selena continues to leave traces in the lives of her fans and her memory lives on in many different formats.
