The announcement of Rosalía being named the 2022 Producer of the Year was made by Billboard, which also said that the award will be presented by Bose on Wednesday, March 1 at the YouTube Theater at Hollywood Park in Los Angeles, California. That's the date and location of this year's Billboard Women in Music Awards.

"We are thrilled to honor Rosalía with this award and recognize her work behind the scenes in the recording studio to bring her vision to life. With numerous groundbreaking hits that blur the lines between traditional music genres, Rosalía consistently uses her unique production skills to break the mold and deliver the unexpected," said Hannah Karp, editorial director of Billboard, said in a statement.

Karp also mentioned that "there are so many talented producers like Rosalía out there, looking for their big break — we're excited to provide these women and non-binary creatives with support and a much-needed platform through our new partnership with Bose."

The awards will be presented by Golden Globe and Emmy-winning writer and actress Quinta Brunson. The event will recognize rising and A-list female artists, creators, producers and executives in music for their contributions to the industry and the community.

This year, Billboard will also partner with Bose in a shared commitment to increase awareness of women and non-binary music producers.

Other women to be honored at the ceremony include SZA with the Woman of the Year Award; Becky G will get the Impact Award; Doechii will receive the Rising Star Award; Ivy Queen will receive the Icon Award; Kim Petras will receive the Chartbreaker Award; and Lana Del Rey will receive the Visionary Award, among others.

Tickets to attend the Billboard Women in Music Awards are on sale now to the public at billboardwomeninmusic.com. Prices range from $85 to $275.

The ceremony will also be streamed live on Billboard's website.
