Juanes enters the Latin Music Hall of Fame
From this Thursday, the Colombian will be one of the artists to be honored.
The Colombian artist and singer-songwriter will be honored among the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame along with Johnny Ventura. During the ceremony, the Musa Awards will also be given to various personalities.
Rudy Pérez, president of the Latin Music Hall of Fame, recognized Juanes' "astounding musical achievements", which include 26 Latin Grammy awards and sales exceeding 16 million records and "clearly make him an ideal candidate to be inducted and recognized by his peers", as reported to EFE news agency.
The songwriters selected this year for induction into the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame were chosen from a group of nominees by a committee of music industry figures and leaders.

"We are thrilled to induct Juanes into our Hall of Fame. His astounding musical achievements include 26 Latin Grammy Awards and sales exceeding 16 million records," the entity told Infobae.
Among the artists already in the Latin Music Hall of Fame are José Feliciano, Julio Iglesias, Armando Manzanero, Omar Alfanno, Gloria Estefan and Carlos Vives.
Juanes announced his second concert date with the band Morat at the Atanasio Girardot stadium in Medellin. Just hours after the announcement of the first date he had already sold out with the sale of 40,000 tickets.
“Hey, how are you all doing there? Juanes greeting you with great news. It's official. Juanes and Morat December 17th. Atanasio Girardot Stadium. It's going to fall, Medallo, Chao, I love you," the artist posted on his social media with a screenshot of the conversation with the band.
