The 2021 Inauguration Ceremony was full of emotional moments and a level of representation and acceptance of the diversity that a country like the United States is all about.

The week leading up to President Joe Biden's inauguration generated a lot of expectations for the diverse and multicultural participation of the artists invited to the 'Celebrating America' event.

Jennifer Lopez's participation in the event was the talk of the town and there was even speculation that she might sing the American anthem in Spanish. But J-Lo took the opportunity to be part of this ceremony to offer us an exciting medley — and very Disney style - of two emblematic themes of American patriotism: "This Land Is Your Land" and "America The Beautiful."

Besides putting on a flawless performance accompanied by the U.S. Navy Band, J-Lo also delivered one of the most moving moments during the ceremony.

Taking the opportunity in a moment of silence, Lopez recited in Spanish the Pledge of Allegiance: "One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all," giving a message of unity and integration.

"Let's get loud, cause this land is made for you and me" was the hopeful phrase with which Lopez ended her performance to a roar of applause and emotion.

Expectations for a new democratic era in the United States are high and it is hoped that the Biden-Harris administration will live up to this desire of the citizens.
