Luis Fonsi sells his music catalog to HarbourView
The famous Puerto Rican artist Luis Fonsi has sold his music catalog of more than two decades.
A total amount has not yet been disclosed, but it is known that Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi has sold his music catalog of more than two decades to HarbourView, the company announced on Tuesday, Jan. 25.
HarbourView Equity Partners (HarbourView), a global alternative asset management firm, confirmed that the deal with the artist was negotiated smoothly and closed within two weeks. For HarbourView, a company with Caribbean roots, it is a source of pride to have signed Luis Fonsi, a Caribbean artist who has received seven Guinness World Records titles thanks to his song "Despacito."
"We are very excited to acquire the multi-platinum selling catalog of the world-renowned artist," confirmed company founder Sherrese Clarke Soares in a statement.

In this statement, the company further highlighted that Fonsi has become one of the leading figures in Latin music, not only for his generation, but also for his iconic intellectual property portfolio.
Fonsi's undeniable and unique talent, which in addition to generating a vast list of radio hits, has allowed him to break barriers, cross borders and generate millions of followers around the world. Fonsi has five Latin Grammy Awards, four Grammy nominations, five Billboard Awards, 12 Latin Billboard Awards and 17 Juventud Awards to his credit, among many other recognitions.
