The Como la Flor Band, the Selena tribute band turns 10
The Selena tribute group celebrates 10 years with Tina as lead vocalist and image of the band.
"The Como la Flor Band" is the first group to pay tribute to the "Queen of Tex-Mex" and one of the most emblematic. Last Sunday, July 18, hundreds of Selena's fans gathered at Warner Ranch Park to listen to "The Como La Flor Band" and the timeless and popular songs of the diva.
Eddie Bevins, director and percussionist of "The Como la Flor Band," formed the group in California on the recommendation of a manager.
Bevins looked for musicians who were interested in forming a tribute group, and although several musicians have passed through the band in 10 years, the current group has "a more familiar feel."
