Cristina Aguilera publishes a new album sung in Spanish
In her latest single, Aguilera highlighted her Ecuadorian roots, in a work that combines multiple musical registers
To announce her long-awaited new album, singer Cristina Aguilera stated that she is "celebrating my roots." The New Yorker is preparing with special care the release of "Aguilera", an album that will include all the songs published on the EPs "La Fuerza" and "La Tormenta".
Aguilera wanted to honor her Latin roots by composing, producing and performing the songs of “La Fuerza”, which was her first EP in Spanish in the last 20 years of her career. On the other hand, “La Tormenta” includes the song “Suéltame”, a collaboration with the Argentinian pop star TINI. This hit was composed by Aguilera, TINI and Kat Dahila, along with producers Mauricio Rengifo, Andrés Torres, Rafa Arcaute, Feredico Vindver and co-produced by Afo Verde.
In her latest single, Aguilera highlighted her Ecuadorian roots, in a work that combines multiple musical registers. In total, "La Tormenta" includes five songs, where "Suéltame" stands out, which has already exceeded 600,000 views on YouTube. For now, the collaboration with TINI does not have a video clip, but its release is expected soon.
In "La Fuerza", she had the collaboration of fashionable artists such as Nathy Peluso or Becky G, who helped her to be inspired by her return to music sung in Spanish.

On the complete album, Cristina Aguilera will also include a new ranchera version of "When I feel like it" with Mexican singer Christian Nodal. For the singer, the name of the album with her last name represents a source of pride and inspiration, with which she intends to show her family roots in her new music.
According to the press release, "the new album promises to delight Christina's fans, as she manages to fuse different Latin musical genres without losing that essence that has made her one of the most important and recognized artists of her generation”.
For the release of “Aguilera”, the singer announced a giveaway on her Instagram profile. Among those who reserve her record during the pre-sale, the winner will have the opportunity to meet Christina during the Gay Pride celebrations in Los Angeles in mid-June.
Christina Aguilera is known for her constant musical reinventions on every new album she releases. This will be the ninth studio album of her long career, where her songs usually deal with love, childhood, self-esteem, sexuality, feminism or women's empowerment.
