Chistina Aguilera presents previews of her upcoming production
‘No es que te extrañe' is one of the songs that will be part of 'La Luz'.
During a private session in Miami as part of Billboard's Music Week, the artist said she was excited to "present her songs in Spanish to the Latin audience here, where she recorded them".
Her next single 'No es que te extrañe' is inspired by her father, Fausto Xavier Aguilera, an Ecuadorian who was a soldier. This song addresses "some of the family tension and distant memories that I feel many people have also shared with their families," Aguilera told the 100 attendees at the event, according to EFE news agency.
"La Luz" is part of her musical trilogy, where Aguilera says she had to find within herself "the strength" after going through "the storm" to finally find "the light" and be able to share it with the world.

"In order to really move forward and find true peace, at some point I felt the need to free myself from feeling trapped inside my own anger, and to move forward for my own mental well-being and to be better for my children," the artist said.
The video for the song, which was also presented during the event, includes the artist dressed in white and with little makeup, surrounded by nature.
After the event, in an exclusive interview with People en Español magazine, the artist also talked a little more about her Latin roots and her closeness to the Spanish language.
"I grew up throughout my childhood listening to Spanish in my house," said the singer who has her Ecuadorian roots. "My mom was also fluent in it, so I was surrounded by Latin music and culture and language since I was a baby. That has always stayed close to my heart and has never left me," she added.
"La luz" will be released on October 7th.
