Mexican singer Ale Aguirre competes on Apple TV+'s 'My Kind of Country'
Aguirre is one of the participants on a show that features promising singer-songwriters who dream of becoming the next big country star.
Ale Aguirre, an up-and-coming singer-songwriter originally from Chihuahua, Mexico, is one of the contestants on Apple TV+'s My Kind of Country, billed as a new kind of music competition.
Influenced by Bob Dylan, Taylor Swift, and Kacey Musgraves' success in country music, the Chicana singer infuses herself into her music and bilingual lyrics with the mariachi, norteño, banda and other sounds she heard growing up in Chihuahua.
Aguirre taught herself how to play the guitar and began uploading videos of herself performing covers to YouTube, at the age of 16. There, she gained traction online and is on her way to establishing herself as an independent singer-songwriter.
She uses her bilingual advantage to express her personal experiences in her lyrics, giving her English and Spanish-speaking fans an intimate peek into her life. She’s opened for internationally-recognized musicians Enanitos Verdes and Fernando Delgadillo
In the upcoming Apple TV+ competition show, Ale shows she is on the way to establishing herself as an independent singer-songwriter with a loyal following she’s gained from her popular YouTube channel.
