“TKN,” the newest collab record between Rosalia and Travis Scott, reached the billboard top 100 last night, coming in at  number 66. The Spanish multi-genre megastar has quickly risen to fame since the  release of her album, Los Angeles, in 2017. Since then, she has created music with a variety of artists ranging from J Balvin and James Blake to a ‘Highest in the Room’ remix with Travis Scott, garnering the attention of American listeners.

“TKN,” Rosalia’s third single in 2020, speaks about not having any new friends or new wounds — a good topic to sing about when most of the world is still practicing social distancing. When asked about working with Scott a second time, she said she couldn’t imagine a better artist to collaborate with for the song.

“Travis is an artist who I’ve admired a lot since the beginning of his career,” she said.

When asked about the timing of the song’s release, Rosalia said amid quarantine was “the moment” for its release.

After so many months of staying indoors, missing freedom or being with people we love, I hope “TKN” gives you energy, makes you dance, and gives you strength if you’re going through difficult times.”

The music video, which Rosalia said was filmed pre-pandemic and finished several weeks ago, can be found below. Aside from the collaboration and a new single released in March, Rolling Stone said Rosalia is currently in Miami working on her follow up album to El Mar Querer.
