With the World Cup taking over the realm of sports this summer, Xfinity has “created an unparalleled viewing experience for today’s increasingly bicultural soccer fanbase.”

The Xfinity X1 platform offers screens, menus and voice commands in both English and Spanish, integrating all live coverage from FOX and Telemundo. Xfinity TV viewers can check out features such as full-game replays, highlights, and real-time analytics, as well as on-screen player and team stats.

And now, for the first time, customers can receive notifications about when their favorite team is about to play via their TV or mobile phone.

The Xfinity TV soccer experience includes features such as World Cup Home, which serves as the hub for complete coverage, offering 1,000+ hours of live matches, highlights and replays from both Telemundo and FOX, as well as integrated scores, stats and data. X1 customers can access World Cup Home in either Spanish or English. One way to access the feature is with your voice by saying “Soccer,” “World Cup” or “Copa Mundial” into the X1 Voice Remote.

For the first time, X1 customers can program Sports Notifications, which “empower X1 customers who want to be alerted about their favorite teams to decide when and how.” Options include TV screen notifications that take customers directly to the match or text message alerts with a direct link to the Xfinity Stream mobile app.

Using the X1 Voice Remote, World Cup fans can access Sports Voice Control. This feature allows viewers to easily find information about teams, matches, and more using only their voice. Access information in either English or Spanish by saying, for example, commands such as “Mexico vs. Germany” or “México contra Alemania.”

The X1 Sports App, used monthly by more than 4 million households, allows customers to record, watch, and catch up on all things World Cup while also providing access to real-time statistical information on the same screen as the game.

World Cup Channels are continually updated and showcase the best highlights of the of the tournament. These channels can be accessed via the World Cup Home.
