With all of Philadelphia behind them chanting #FlyEaglesFly, the Eagles are headed to the Super Bowl for the first time since 2004, set to face defending Super Bowl champions the New England Patriots on Feb. 4.

The birds were rated as an underdog going in to the NFC Championship game after having lost star quarterback Carson Wentz and other key players to injury. But the decisive 38-7 win over the Vikings on Sunday left no doubt that the Eagles are ready to spread their wings and soar in the biggest sporting event in the country.

Following the game, Broad Street filled with Eagles fans and despite city officials' best efforts to prevent elated fans from climbing light poles by greasing them earlier in the day...

they didn't stop several of the most intrepid revelers from “flying” to the top.

Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie even joined the team in a celebratory post-game dance:

How are fans feeling about the Eagles’ chances against the Patriots as they square off in Super Bowl 52 at U.S. Bank stadium in Minnesota?

According to Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins, it’s a done deal.

Though the injury-plagued Eagles still might not have the odds in their favor, they could be the country's favorite in the contest against the reigning champs and football dynasty that is New England.

Until the Super Bowl title is theirs, the city is busy preparing in style.
