GlobalPhilly 2015: 60 days of international focus
In 2013, the Global Philadelphia Association launched an inaugural international exposition in the greater Philadelphia region, identifying it as GlobalPhilly™ 2013. It reached more than 500,000 people in its 47 day-period, with events ranging across seven different categories.
Two years later, in 2015, the biennial international exposition is back, and much bigger than before. This year, it will run from September 15 to November 15; these 60 days will feature more than 150 events across a board of eight different categories to reach any and all audiences.
So, you might get how big the exposition is, but do you know what exactly Global Philly™ 2015 is? This international exposition has been designed to showcase just how global Philadelphia has become. The events throughout these upcoming 60 days will be hosted by about 190 of the Global Philadelphia Association Members in venues all over the region.
The events range in scope and are divided into categories such as Art, Advocacy, Commerce, Cuisine, Education, Heritage, Science & Technology, and Sports. You’ll further be able to identify if events are family friendly, targeted for specific audiences, open to the public for a price, or even if they’re free events (which many will be). No matter who you are, and what your interests are, you’re bound to find something that will grab your attention.
With such a diverse list of events, you might think it’d be difficult to join in on the fun. But as in 2013, Global Philly has designed a Passport Book which showcases all of the upcoming events and a guide to additional happenings.
Once the Passport Book is unveiled, it’ll be available for free download on the organization’s website. AL DÍA is a media partner for Global Philly™ 2015, and we’ll continue to share information about this major expo with you.
This may be only the second exposition for Global Philly, but already, the organization has nearly doubled its membership.
