After the market collapse and recession, options were stark across the board, more so for young people than anyone else.

But a new PEW analysis of federal data shows that fewer young Latinos (age 18-19) are 'disconnected," i.e. not currently working or in school.

In the year after the crash, 21 percent of young Blacks and Latinos were disconnected from jobs and education. And while the Black population has only dropped two points since then, those young 18 and 19 year-old Latinos are less inactive than any time in the last 10 years. In the graph below, you'll see the numbers dipping down to 16 percent. 

Meanwhile, young Whites in the same age demographic have become slightly more disconnected.
