A tradition in El Barrio, the Hispanic Association of Contractors and Enterprises (HACE) will be hosting its Eighth Annual Fiesta Caribeña on Saturday, July 25. The free family event provides attendees information on housing, social services and health programs.

Fiesta Caribeña will be held at Fairhill Square Park, at Lehigh Avenue and Lawrence Street in Eastern North Philadelphia from 12 to 5 p.m.

“This is a unique outreach strategy employed by HACE to inform the community of the various programs and resources available to our residents and to help them access services and benefits to improve their quality of life,” said Maria Gonzalez, president of HACE.

Various community organizations, social service providers, lending institutions and representatives from City Departments will be available to discuss issues and provide useful information. In addition, families will enjoy a day filled with music, dance performances, free games, and prizes.

“Every year we showcase the talent in our community, and this year we are excited to feature Edgar Joel, Grupo Fuego and Mariachi Flores. DJ Bad Boy from La Mega 1310 AM will serve as Master of Ceremonies”, Gonzalez added.
