New Jersey-Pennsylvania bridge toll to drop
Good news for bridge commuters!
Commuters who use the various bridges between New Jersey and Pennsylvania could soon pay less in tolls.
This week, the Delaware River Port Authority's finance committee approved a measure that would allow commuters who regularly travel (at least 18 times a month) over the Benjamin Franklin, Walt Whitman, Betsy Ross and Commodore Barry bridges to pay one less dollar than the current toll rate.
The proposed price drop could save commuters $18 a month and more than $200 a year.
If the proposal gets approved by the Port Authority's board, the change will go into effect later this year.
