Volunteers beautify Congreso for Comcast Cares Day
Members of the Latino community, Congreso de Latinos Unidos and Comcast came together to beautify the area for the 14th Annual Comcast Cares Day on April 25. Volunteers worked to expand a community garden, clean the area and paint the children’s playground.
"We are here trying to make a nice little garden for Congreso and for everyone who is here. As part of the program, we also have the right to participate in the cleaning process," Concepción Santiago, a Congreso volunteer, said.

In the Philadelphia region, there were over 60 volunteer projects at locations such as Northeast Frankford Boys and Girls Club, Shepard Recreation Center, and Rivera Recreation Center & Mann Older Adult Center.
