Philly PHLASH launches its new season today and is offering free rides for the opening weekend (April 23-26).

Free single ride tickets are available this weekend only at the Independence Visitor Center or on board any PHLASH bus.

The bright purple bus is offering daily service through September 7 for $2 per person per ride ($5 for an all-day pass). Children 4 and under, senior citizens and SEPTA pass holders ride for free.

The PHLASH bus makes 22 stops in Center City and near popular locations such as Penn’s Landing, the Franklin Institute, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Eastern State Penitentiary, the Please Touch Museum  and the Philadelphia Zoo.

New this year is the service expansion. Usually the PHLASH service was offered only until Labor Day. This year, the service will run after Labor Day, but only on the weekends until November 22. Daily service will resume on November 27 until January 3, 2016.
