Philly Auto Shows zooms in this weekend
Fasten your seatbelts because the Philadelphia Auto Show is back!
The popular event returns to the Pennsylvania Convention Center from Jan. 31 to Feb. 8 for the 114th show.
The show features 700 new, concept, exotic and classic cars from 40 different manufacturers, like Ford, Honda, Chrysler, Cadillac and Audi. Attendees will have opportunities to ride and drive certain cars and have Q&As with car specialists.

A cool returning feature of the Auto Show is the Camp Jeep experience. It’s is a driver-assisted experience that allows guests to feel what it’s like to drive off-road. Kids can also have some fun at the Jeep exhibit with their very own mini driving course.
Another popular feature returning this year is “Face-Off.” Guests can vote for their favorite import or domestic cars. Three lucky voters will be selected to win prizes like tickets to a NASCAR race at Pocono Speedway and next year’s black tie preview gala.
The show itself influences over 2.5 billion in vehicle sales per year.
“It’s the best product line-up when you look at the technology that’s out there, the safety features that are out there and the variety of cars that are out there,” Mary Lynn Alvarino, Director of Operations of Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia, told AL DÍA News. “ If you are here for a shopping experience, there is no way you can leave disappointed because we have more information available and a wider variety of cars to look at than ever before.”
The annual event usually brings in around 250,000 people and takes about 3-4 hours to walk around the entire show.
“People visit the Auto Show for a variety of reasons, whether it’s an annual tradition with friends or family or a reconnaissance mission to evaluate options or confirm their choices,” Kevin Mazzucola, Executive Director of Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia, said in a statement. “You can see vehicles on TV, the Internet, billboards, and in the newspaper, you can hear about them on the radio. But there is nothing that matches the experience of being able to see the metal, glass, and rubber that make up these machines at the Philadelphia Auto Show. Nothing.”
