It may sound ironic, but Donald Trump's Winery in Virginia is in need for foreign workers, contradicting the President's philosophy of putting "American workers First".

Trump Vineyard Estates, located in Charlottesville, Va., has asked to bring in a total of 29 workers this season to pick grapes and cultivate vines at the vineyard.

The winery belongs to his son, Eric Trump, who  reportedly can’t find Americans who want the job.

The vacant jobs at the winery involve planting, cultivating and pruning grape vines, as reported in Fortune

Trump Winery is applying for workers through the federal H-2A visa program, which is a temporary work visa allowing foreign workers to do seasonal agricultural work in the U.S.

Vineyard farm workers in Virginia must be paid $10.72 per hour and be provided with reliable housing and transportation should their workplace require them to be away from their residence overnight.

Within days of winning the election, Trump promised to investigate all visa programs that hurt and take away jobs from Americans. Three months earlier, the president hired 64 foreigners, mostly cooks and receptionists, to run Mar-a-Lago. The contradiction continues, as reported in El País
