State Department Approves Keystone XL Pipeline
Trump continues to deliver on his electoral promises, or at least that's what it looks like.
Today, the State Department issued a permit authorizing TransCanada to carry out the Keystone XL pipeline project in Dakota, which would transport oil from Canada to refineries on the Gulf Coast, as reported by CNN En Español.
The announcement, which Trump will make official during the course of the day, hides behind the heated debate among Republicans over the replacement of Obamacare and backs the electoral promises that the current President has vowed during last year.
The Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, former CEO of Exxon Mobil, has withdrawn from the process to avoid any misunderstandings about some type of conflict of interest.
The TransCanada Company has confirmed the news that would shift the decision of former President Barack Obama to reject the project for environmental issues during 2015.
Specialists in the case assert that the effects on the environment would be massive and irreparable, ensuring that, although there are alternative energies, indispensable resources such as water do not have the same possibility.
