No, not all Latinos are against the Trump administration, and the president doesn’t despise all Hispanics either.

There is a Latin-American model - preferably white and male - that the Trump administration keeps in its ranks, following the example of Senator Marco Rubio.

Proof of this is the presumed rise of the lawyer and writer of the Capitol Hill Cubans blog, Mauricio Claver-Carone, who was also the executive director of the U.S. Cuba Democracy PAC (one of the most active pro-embargo groups in Washington) and close adviser to the presidential campaign of Donald Trump.

According to Politico, "now the acting U.S. executive director of the International Monetary Fund will work under National Security Adviser John Bolton and coordinate the White House policy with the State, the Treasury, and other departments."

Claver-Carone joins other Cuban-Americans, such as Carlos Trujillo (United States Ambassador to the Organization of American States), Eliot Pedrosa (Alternate Executive Director of the InterAmerican Development Bank) and Tomas Regalado (director of Radio Martí), in the "strongly anti-Castro" foreign policy team, according to the report.

The new member of Trump's team was born in Florida and was raised in Madrid, Spain, according to The Global Americans. "Despite having a long career as an advocate for stricter U.S. policy toward Cuba, Claver-Carone has never visited the island," the blog reads. Furthermore, before entering Trump's campaign, "by 2017, Claver-Carone had no policy experience working with other countries in the region, beyond lobbying for a tougher U.S. policy towards the Chávez/Maduro governments in Venezuela as they related to their ties to the Castro regime in Cuba."

In his new position, the Cuban-American lawyer will take one of the most influential positions in the White House, and he is expected to execute much more aggressive strategies against the governments of Venezuela, Cuba, and Nicaragua.
