The inaugural AL DÍA 40 Under Forty event will be a showcase of the most diverse and impactful young professionals in various fields of work across the Philadelphia region.
At the virtual event, taking place August 20, 2020, Jonathan Santiago, 37, will be one of the 40 honorees. He is an Artist and Family Advocate at Norris Square Community Alliance.
As part of the lead-up to the event, AL DÍA asked each of the 40 honorees the same three questions and collected their responses.
Here are Jonathan Santiago’s responses:
As a Latino coming from another country to work in the US the language is the first challenge as well as convincing others that we can surpass any limitations and look forward to a better future.

I am proud when I see satisfying and positive results in the families I work with including parents and the children of my community.
Inclusion is an important aspect of our community. We must do our part and believe that no matter our race, color, religion, sex, or sexual orientation there are no differences and we must learn to help one another. When we stop looking for what makes us different then we have made inclusion real.
