Amerant Bank announces new EVP, Houston Market President

On April 18, 2023, Amerant Bank announced the appointment of Caroline Vérot Moore as their Executive Vice President, Houston Market President. 

In her new position, Vérot Moore will oversee multiple business sectors of the market, including commercial banking, private and business banking, retail, commercial real estate, specialty finance, and treasury management.

Prior to her appointment, Vérot Moore worked as Houston Market Executive for Fifth Third Bank, leading a team to deliver commercial services to middle market companies in the region.

She has additionally worked for Wells Fargo to serve the Texas Area from 2012 to 2019, and prior to that worked in multiple positions at Natixis for 11 years, the latest of which was Head of Global Corporates for their Shanghai Branch in Shanghai City, China.

“We are pleased to welcome Caroline to Amerant. Her extensive experience in corporate banking and knowledge of the Houston market makes her the ideal leader for our team in this key market,” said Amerant Bank Chairman and CEO Jerry Plush, in a statement. 

“We are confident that she will lead our team to best serve our clients and further drive growth and success in the Greater Houston area,” he continued.

Vérot Moore has been recognized as a Global Leader of Influence by the World Affairs Council of Greater Houston, and is currently a member of the Greater Houston Partnership's Executive Women Partnership. 

She has also been named a 2022 Breakthrough Woman by the Greater Houston Women's Chamber of Commerce. 

Vérot Moore earned her Graduate Business degree from Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales in Lille, France, and her M.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame located in South Bend, Indiana.

"I am delighted to join Amerant and work with my new team members to serve our customers and drive growth in the Houston market," said Vérot Moore. 

"I’m honored to be part of the Amerant executive team and hope to inspire more women to pursue careers in financial services and earn a seat at the table,” she continued.
