Karol G launches new scholarships for women in STEM
The artist seeks to encourage women to learn technology.
The Con Cora Foundation of Colombian singer Karol G in alliance with Geek Girls LatAm launched the “Con Cora Geek Girls Scholarships”, an initiative that aims to create a commitment to the empowerment of women.
This scholarship program will provide access to two online courses: “Cátedra GGL: Desarrolla tu Ser, focused on personal leadership”, and “Talentos 4.0: Potencia tu Hacer, focused on competencies in advanced technologies”, which will be given to different women in Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador and Guatemala.
“This is your opportunity to develop skills in science, technology and leadership. With the support of master classes, group mentoring and access to the Coursera learning platform, virtually, you can immerse yourself in a complete training process ranging from female empowerment to 4.0 technologies, careers of the future and employability,” said the Con Cora Foundation through a statement.

“Con Cora Geek Girls Scholarships” focuses on strategic areas such as STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), where gender equality is crucial for a more inclusive and prosperous future.
The program also offers the first certification in Women's Leadership in STEM and the opportunity to earn certifications recognized by leading Big Tech and universities.
“STEM is crucial to creating a sustainable economy and a more equitable society. By promoting diversity in these areas, we are driving innovation and making better decisions for a brighter future,” said Valentina Bueno, Executive Director of the Con Cora Foundation.
The training begins on September 20th, 2024 in a fully online mode. Registration is open until 3rd September.
