Global musical phenomena Hamilton and its mastermind Lin-Manuel Miranda in another partnership Prizeo, have launched Ham4Choice, a new campaign and contest that will fundraise money for abortion access following the overturn of Roe v. Wade.

According to the organizers, the money will fund travel expenses and other access and support avenues for those seeking the procedure. Furthermore, it will fund grassroots groups who have been on the front lines in a post Roe v. Wade America.

“Join me and all the companies of Hamilton as we fight for access to care,” Miranda said in the campaign’s launch video..

Miranda has previously worked with Prizeo on other past fundraisers with the most similar one being a fundraiser for Planned Parenthood back in 2017 that gave winners tickets to see a show.

“This is not a moment, it’s a movement,” said some of the cast in a promotional video. While a

“We can stand up for every person’s right to make decisions about their own body and their own lives,” reads a promotional page for the campaign.

A $10 donation will automatically enter the participants into the drawing for an opportunity to win an all expenses paid trip to New York, Germany, and London to see the smash musical in person as well as meeting Miranda himself and the cast.

“We are devastated by the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling eliminating the right to an abortion which has been a right since 1973 — We're stronger when we work together. We can stand up for every person's right to make decisions about their own body and their own lives," reads a press release for the fundraiser.

Some of the abortion groups to recieve funds, include the National Network of Abortion Funds in the U.S., Puerto Rican organization Profamilias, and the U.K.-based group Abortion Support Network.

"With restrictions to abortion rights happening in the U.S., it's easy to forget that there are countries in Europe with equally draconian abortion laws. The abortion fund movement is global and we are stronger together — In addition to the funding, we hope that this stunning act of solidarity from Lin-Manuel Miranda and Hamilton will strengthen the pro-choice movement across Europe,” said Mara Clarke, director of the U.K. abortion group, in a statement.

Donations can be made at Ham4Choice.com. It is the latest of other initiatives done by the group that highlight social justice causes. They also serve as a gathering place for discussion among social justice groups and on other platforms.
