For the upcoming AL DÍA Women of Merit virtual event, AL DÍA will be gathering strong, powerful, impactful and inspirational women doing amazing things in their respective fields of work.

Therefore, in addition to Esther Aguilera, President & CEO of the Latino Corporate Directors Association, we are excited to announce two new honored guests for the event — Nina Vaca and Carolina DiGiorgio.

Carolina DiGiorgio is the president and CEO of Congreso de Latinos Unidos, a role she has served since 2017. Congreso is a Top 25 Latino focused non-profit in the nation and one of the nation’s and region’s top workplaces.

In addition to her role at Congreso, DiGiorgio also serves on the Pennsylvania delegation to the United States Global Advisory Commission, an organization dedicated to ensuring the United States’ continued role as a humanitarian leader across the globe; as well as an advisory board member of Citizens & Northern Bank, where she advises on community lending matters and the Nelson Foundation, which focuses on youth leadership development.

DiGiorgio has been recognized numerous times for her work, recently being named the honoree of the 2020 AL DÍA Hispanic Heritage Award for the Non-profit sector.

Nina Vaca is the chairperson and CEO of Pinnacle Group, the largest Latina-owned workforce solutions provider in the U.S., and the fastest-growing woman-owned company in the nation in 2015 and 2018.

Vaca is one of the few Latinas in the nation serving on the boards of publicly traded companies.

In addition to her role at Pinnacle Group, she has also served as a civic leader and philanthropist, where she works relentlessly to expand opportunities for people of color and women in business.

Vaca is a recipient of the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award and the Goldman Sachs Most Intriguing Entrepreneur award. Also, ALPFA and Fortune Magazine named her one of the 50 Most Powerful Latinas in America for the last four years.

AL DÍA is proud to have Carolina DiGiorgio, Nina Vaca, and Esther Aguilera as the honored guests at the 2021 AL DÍA Women of Merit.

Nominations for the upcoming virtual event are still being accepted until Feb. 28. To nominate a woman who is breaking down barriers and emerging in leadership roles nationwide, click here.
