For the third year in a row, internationally renowned musician Bad Bunny will partner with Cheetos, awarding $500,000 split among 20 contest winners this year to support Hispanic communities in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

Named “Deja tu Huella,” which translates to “Leave your mark” in English, this fund will be given out in awards through a TikTok challenge of the same name.

The contest is accepting submissions from July 18 to August 19. The judging period will run from August 22 to September 16, with Grand Prize winners being announced on or around October 7.

These TikTok videos will be judged on four things: A clear demonstration of passion to positively impact a Hispanic community, a clear explanation of what the $25,000 would be used for, a unique or compelling factor to contribute to the Hispanic community, and both creativity and enthusiasm in the video.

This is not the first event of its kind, as the Deja Tu Huella Fund is a part of Cheetos’ efforts to give back to the Hispanic community. In 2021, the company also launched the Cheetos Estudiante Fund, giving $500,000 in collaboration with Bad Bunny and the Good Bunny Foundation, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of Hispanic youth.

Cheetos’ efforts are done alongside its parent company, PepsiCo, and the PepsiCo Foundation’s commitment to Latino communities of which they have donated $172 million towards over the past five years.

This cumulative donation was done to help combat racial inequalities and to create new opportunities for the community.

"I am proud to partner with Cheetos for a third year. Cheetos is known to celebrate all forms of self expression, and, each year, we've been able to support people out there leaving their mark," Bad Bunny said.

"From expanding the Latin Music category at the American Music Awards in 2020 to collaborating with Adidas for an exclusive fashion line in 2021, and now the Deja Tu Huella Fund this year, Cheetos has shown its commitment to a community that has impacted and continues to impact my life tremendously," he continued.

After the submissions are judged, 20 winners will be chosen to be awarded the money to help their community.
