Jorge Aranda is 'El Diablo' in Star+ Bilingual Series
The Mexican is part of the cast of 'El Repatriado'.
Aranda plays a villain for the first time, after being part of the series "Mi Tío" on Amazon Prime and "Guerra de vecinos 2" on Netflix, both of which were in the comedy genre.
Since September 21st, "El Repatriado" has been aired on the streaming platform, Star+, in which he plays the character of El Diablo.
One of the challenges of this character "was the issue of characterization and that it was the first time that a character allowed me to play with the idea of changing my hair color, I am one-eyed, I am full of scars and tattoos", said Aranda in an interview with the Mexican portal Gente Bien.
Although the comedy series in which the actor participates were premiered before, "El Repatriado" was really his first big production.
I did "El Diablo" first, it was my first big project, besides, we were starting Pandemic, when the uncertainty of not knowing if there was going to be work or not, and the truth is that Pandemic brought me very good luck, it brought me many projects, but the first one was El Repatriado and it was El Diablo, so that's why I'm very fond of it", said the Mexican actor.

In addition to acting in the series, Jorge Aranda also composed and produced the single "Golpe Bajo" and invited Ricardo Abarca, protagonist of the story, to collaborate together in the soundtrack of the series. The song was released in the same week of the premiere as a single on all digital platforms along with a video.
El Repatriado is a series that continues The Walt Disney Company Latin America's commitment to expand its catalog with original productions made in Latin America, according to the streaming platform on its website.
It stars Ricardo Abarca (Leonel Reina), Armando Hernández (Trejo), Paco Rueda (El Gordo), Valeria Burgos (Miss Meche), Coco Máxima (Yadi) and Dagoberto Gama (Don Chucho).
The series follows a young man who adapted to American culture as a child and became a professional boxer. However, his life takes a 180-degree turn when he faces the possibility of being deported to Mexico.
