
Season 5 of 'LOL: Last One Laughing Mexico,' set to premiere in December
The actor and producer Eugenio Derbez will host the fifth season of LOL: Last One Laughing Mexico, which will premiere on December 16 on Prime Video.

August 8th, 2023Eight LOLStars, or “uncrowned champions” from previous seasons will participate in the fifth season of Last One Laughing Mexico. They are comedian and television presenter Capi Pérez, comedian Liliana Arriaga 'La Chupitos,' actor and writer Mauricio Barrientos known as 'El Diablito,' writer and stand-up comedian José Luis Slobotzky, comedian Ricardo Pérez, comedian Ricardo Peralta , announcer and producer Juan Carlos 'El Borrego' Nava, and stand-up comedian Isabel Fernández, as confirmed by Prime Video.
“Eugenio Derbez leads a group of daredevil comedians on their way to madness, locking them in a house for six hours with the only rule of NOT LAUGHING. These LOL Stars return to the house to show why they were the biggest "losers" of their seasons. They come without fear of anything, they have already lost everything,” reads the synopsis of the fifth season of LOL: Last One Laughing Mexico.
This is the fifth time that the Mexican actor, writer, director and producer has hosted the show. His work as host of the second season of the show earned him a Daytime Emmy Award in the category of 'Best Host of a Daytime Program in Spanish.'

About LOL: Last One Laughing Mexico
The first season of the hit comedy series LOL: Last One Laughing Mexico premiered in 2018 and subsequent seasons launched in 2019, 2021, and 2022. Each season has six episodes, which are available on Prime Video.
The Amazon Original production has Marie Leguizamo as showrunner, and it is produced by Derbez's 3Pas Studios and his partner Ben Odell, as well as Banijay México & US Hispanic.
The show is an adaptation of the Amazon Original Japan series, HITOSHI MATSUMOTO Presents Documentary, produced and starring Japanese film director and comedian Hitoshi Matsumoto. He hosts this show in which 10 comedians bet money in a "laugh battle behind closed doors" where anything goes.
Along with Mexico, the series LOL: Last One Laughing has been adapted for audiences in Australia, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Argentina (hosted by renowned actress Susana Giménez), among others.
