The Weeknd confirms his Latin American tour

The artist will be in at least four countries in 2023 as stops on his 'After Hours Til Dawn' world tour.

"The second leg is here! The After Hours Til Dawn tour is coming to Europe and Latin America," The Weeknd wrote in a recent post on Instagram

The tour will begin in June in Europe, and then head to Latin America. So far, the cities confirmed by the artist in the region are Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro, Bogota and Santiago.

Some fans of The Weeknd in Peru spoke out against there being no dates in their country.

The Weeknd's latest album, Dawn FM, was released in January. The project was longlisted for the 2022 Polaris Music Prize, and featured music videos for the singles "Take My Breath," "Sacrifice" and "Gasoline."

 

Who is The Weeknd?

Abel Tesfaye, the real name of The Weeknd, was born on Feb. 16, 1990 in Toronto, Canada and has become one of the leading alternative R&B performers in the music industry. 

In 2010, he began uploading songs to YouTube. The tracks, created by producer Jeremy Rose, caught the attention of many listeners and other artists like Drake. This was the launch of his career in music.
