On Wednesday, Feb. 2, Carlos Vives surprised Shakira with a beautiful birthday gift in the form of a new song, "Currambera," where the artist celebrates her 45 years of life.

"We walked the streets where you walked.... We walk through your memories and evoke your songs, Shak on your birthday we celebrate with music. On February 2nd from Barranquilla... Currambera for the world," wrote Vives in the official release of the song.

The music video for "Currambera" was filmed on Dec. 18 at the Sociedad Portuaria Regional de Barranquilla, a place chosen by Vives to show the greatness of the city and all the legends that are woven around the nearby Magdalena River.
