Anitta to Headline NFL's Historic First Game in São Paulo
Brazilian superstar Anitta to perform at NFL's debut South American game on Sept. 6.
The NFL has announced Brazilian pop sensation Anitta as the headliner for the halftime show during its first-ever game in South America. On September 6, the Green Bay Packers will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles at the Corinthians Arena in São Paulo, marking the start of the 2024 NFL season.
Anitta, whose music and performances are deeply influenced by her Brazilian roots, expressed her excitement about the opportunity. "Growing up in Brazil has completely shaped my journey as an artist and, of course, as a person," Anitta said in a statement. "It means everything to be able to perform in São Paulo at the NFL's first game in Brazil, where I can bring fans around the world the excitement and joy of our amazing culture. It's really a dream come true to be a part of this moment."
Anitta's halftime performance is expected to feature a setlist of her biggest hits, and it will be broadcast live across the NFL's global feed and on local Brazilian networks. The event will also feature other prominent Brazilian artists, including pop singer Luísa Sonza, who will perform Brazil's National Anthem, and American-Brazilian singer Zeeba, who will sing the U.S. National Anthem.
