1.     Da Pawn – Luz Roja

One of the best recent discoveries in Ecuadorian music is undoubtedly Da Pawn, a group that moves elegantly from rock to, let’s say, traditional Brazilian music. "Luz Roja" is part of the band's 2016 production "Verano en Coma."

2.     Edson Velandia – Montañero

The current Colombian scene is not short of characters. One of the most original and versatile is Edson Velandia, former frontman of Velandia y La Tigra, who has faced his solo adventure going deep into the Colombian peasant tradition accompanied by a solid academic background.

3.     Ari Blik – Psicodelia en el Mar

The work of Ari Blik, originally from Caracas, Venezuela, is an ideal example of multiculturalism in the United States: the perfect juxtaposition of English and Spanish in a song that mixes reggae with electronic beats. This Venezuelan girl is part of the thriving music scene in Miami.

4.     Mad Tree – Nodriza

For fans of alternative rock, Mad Tree is a pretty solid option. Created in Colombia in 2013, Sebastián Izáciga and Nicolás Gutiérrez's band has become a symbol of the reach of independent music with a message. "Nodriza" is one of their singles from 2018.

5.     1915 – Policía

Yes, they sound like Illya Kuryaki and the Valderramas, and they are also Argentines, but the proposal of this band from the northern area of the Buenos Aires suburbs promises to go further, breaking the barriers between pop and rock to immerse themselves in the myriad possibilities that the fusion of styles allows. "Policía" is their 2018 single.
