"Te pienso," a new single from Beangel
The duo sings to their native Cuba between feelings of love and nostalgia.
Beangel dropped their new song "Te pienso," on Feb. 14 as a declaration of love for their native Cuba. It's a story about the island and the people who miss it, the Cuban band explained in a released statement.
"We want to remember the love for Cuba. We pay respect to the balseros, to those who never made it and died at sea," the band said.
"Te pienso" is a song released alongside Randy Malcom, from Gente de Zona, and Kelvis Ochoa, one of the stars off the hit album Habana Oculta and a 2006 Goya Award winner for Best Original Music for his work on the film Habana Blues.

"The song is dedicated to the land that I love so much and cannot touch," said Malcom at the launch of the song.
The new single is already available on all digital platforms. On YouTube, the official video garnered more than 30,000 views in less than 24 hours.
In October 2022, Beangel debuted their album Mimi Is Love, with features from Malcom, and other Cuban artists of international fame like Alexander Delgado, Leoni Torres, Lenier and Descemer Bueno, and composer Jeon Arvani, among others.
Beangel won a 2023 Grammy as part of Marc Anthony's Pa' allá voy, which won for Best Tropical Album. Both members of the band were on the album. Pututi was a composer and Bea was a backing vocalist.
