Nil Moliner, the next Spanish singer set to blow up in America
Moliner will begin his tour on April 21 in Santiago, Chile and continue to Buenos Aires, Bogotá, Mexico City, Los Angeles, New York and Miami.
Among the millions of listeners of Nil Moliner's hits on YouTube and Spotify, there are hundreds of thousands in North and South America. The announcement of his tour of the Americas was great news for the: the artist from Barcelona will cross the Atlantic Ocean to present 'Nuestra Locura American Tour,' featuring seven concerts.
The young musician, who has carved out his own career since 2005, began by playing covers of other bands, such as Pereza, Fito & los Fitipaldis and MClan. Moliner will begin his American tour on April 21 in Santiago, Chile, and then will continue to Buenos Aires, Bogotá , Mexico City, Los Angeles, New York and Miami.
Moliner has invested a lot to prepare for his jump to the Americas.
“Two intense weeks of rehearsals and a lot of work are ending. It has been beautiful and hard. I could not be more proud of my band, my staff and my team, who have worked non-stop seeking perfection,” he said. His set will run on March 4 in Pamplona, and another will be on the 30th anniversary of “Cadena 100” at the Wanda Metropolitano stadium in Madrid on June 25.
Across the Atlantic, his fans will be able to enjoy his main hits, such as "Libertad," "La bestia," "Mi religión," "Soldado de hierro," "Se nos escapa," and "Volveré a empezar." All are characterized by simple, but catchy pop-rock, with voices reminiscent of El Canto del Loco and choruses produced to be radio hits. All of the songs are contagious.
Moliner is another artist who boosted his career on Operación Triunfo. In 2018, he gained popularity with his single “Sale el Sol,” a cry of optimism to overcome anxiety. In 2019, he released several singles that went viral on streaming platforms.
On "Tal vez," he collaborated with Rayden to call out the injustices faced by migrants crossing the sea to risk a better life. Moliner was inspired by the Proactiva Open Arms Lifeguard Collective, dedicated to trying to save lives in the waters of the Mediterranean Sea.
“Why do we always look at our navel? Why don't we save people from the sea? Why do we trade our time for money? We listen, but we don't care,” Moliner sings in the song.
On Feb. 21, 2020, during the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, he released his debut album Bailando en la Batalla, which was the second best-selling album in Spain. Then, in 2021, Un secreto al que gritar was released.
The last three years have also seen two nominations for Los 40 Music Awards — a victory in 2021 in the “Revelation Artist” category — seven platinum records and eight gold records, and almost three million monthly listeners on Spotify.
