After putting "Medallo on the map" with a spectacular concert on April 30, Maluma has finally released his long-awaited new album. With that spectacular concert, which appeared on the documentary The Tour Diaries produced by Amazon Music, the Colombian singer showed he is an icon of global music.
"The Love & Sex Tape is already on the street and the body knows it," Maluma announced on his Instagram.
Along with the cover image, in which a beefy dog appears holding a thong in its mouth lit up with pink eyes, the Colombian also posted a video dancing to one of the songs.
“What is your favorite song?” he asked his fans. Among the answers, they pointed out "Nos comemos vivos" and "Mal de amores."
His new work is defined by urban sounds, which have become popular in recent years. However, he did not forget the reggaeton beat that has also marked his career. The Colombian promised a musical experience that will allow his fans to let loose in an invitation to the "perreo" that he likes to promote.
“I needed the essence of Maluma from my beginnings. I felt that I needed communication with the street, with the people who enjoy this urban rhythm that has characterized me since the beginning of my career. This album represents my duality and the urban sounds of my beginnings brought to this 2022,” he said.
Since dropping his debut album Magia in 2012, the Colombian has now released six studio albums with this new track. In addition, he has countless collaborations with great international artists.

Those songs are “Cositas de la USA,” “Mojando Asientos,” with Feid, and “Nos comemos vivos” alongside Puerto Rico's Chencho Corleone. On the album, there are also collaborations by Jay Wheeler and Lenny Tavarez on “Sexo sin titulo,” and Arcangel and De la Guetto on “Tsunami.”
The new album was produced by Jevin ADG and Chan el Genio (known as 'The Rude Boyz'), and Maluma also collaborated with multiple artists on its composition song composition. Names like Edgar Barrera, Andrés Uribe, René Cano and Kevin Marucio Jiménez stand out.
The dog on the cover of the album is his pet Buda, which according to the singer, represents his shadow because it is his faithful companion on adventures and an animal he has shared many moments of his life alongside. His intention was to share the affection he feels towards his pet with the world with a cover that was designed by Joseph Klibnaksy, one of the great icons of modern contemporary art.
